October 24, 2007 Public Meeting Information

General Information

The project’s third public meeting was held Wednesday, October 24, 2007. Approximately 211 people attended the East Columbia EIS open-house public meeting from 4 to 7 P.M. at the Elk's Lodge, 4747 East Elk Park Drive at Highway WW.

At this meeting, four transportation alternatives were proposed that most reasonably meet the project’s Purpose and Need, which is to address traffic congestion and safety, connect the major highways between Eastern Boone County and Columbia, and improve access to Eastern Columbia.
