The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (ADOT&PF) has been engaged in a Major Investment Study (MIS) and Environmental Assessment (EA) planning process to identify and guide transportation decisions for the New Seward Highway between Rabbit Creek Road and 36th Avenue.

A primary goal of this study is to develop a viable transportation plan, through a meaningful public involvement process, that addresses current and future travel demand and mobility needs for the corridor. The potential role of a variety of transportation system components have been considered including improved public transit, bicycle and pedestrian pathway improvements, traffic management options, and added lanes and interchanges along the New Seward Highway.

Residents of the Anchorage Bowl are invited and encouraged to participate in this important planning process.
