Project Information

Sealed Bids for construction of MP 23.7 Reservoir addressed to Sunnyside Division Board of Control, 120 South 11th Street, Sunnyside, WA 98944, will be received at the office of the Sunnyside Valley Irrigation District, City of Sunnyside, State of Washington, (Owner), until 3:00 p.m., local time, on the 1st day of August, 2007. Any Bids received after the specified time will not be considered. Bids will then be publicly opened and read.

The Project is located near the intersection of Beam Road and the Sunnyside Main Canal in Yakima County, Washington.The completed Work will provide the Owner with an earth embankment, PVC membrane lined irrigation water storage reservoir with approximately 500 acre feet of capacity. Gravity inflow from the Sunnyside Main Canal will be automatically controlled by an electric motorized slide gate. Water will be pumped from the reservoir by four variable speed vertical electric pumps. The facilities will be controlled by a programmable logic controller (PLC) and radio communications equipment. The control and communications will be furnished and programmed by the Owner. Some panel installation and connection of devices will be the responsibility of the Contractor. The Project includes a significant amount of earthwork, concrete structures, steel and HDPE pipe, PVC lining, and electrical work. Raw rock and sand materials are available for excavation from a SVID quarry site. Use of these materials will require overburden excavation and stockpiling and material screening, crushing, loading, hauling, and stockpiling. The Work will be completed in all respects on or before July 15, 2008. Work in the canal will be completed by March 1, 2008.

In order to submit a bid, Bidders must have purchased a hard copy set of the contract documents from the District.
