Welcome to the Murphy Road Corridor Project Website!
Project Update:
The Refinement Plan was finalized in June 2008. This plan documents the work done throughout the first phase of the project, including the results of the open houses and the selection of the two preferred alternatives. It also outlines the recommended actions for the current phase of the project (agreed upon by the Bend City Council). The plan can be downloaded or you can request a printed copy for $50 by sending a written request to: Peggy Spencer, City of Bend Public Works, 745 NW Bond Street, 97701, 541-388-5578 or sending an email through our comment form. A complete copy is also available at the Transportation Engineering Division front desk at the Bond Street Annex.
This website provides an overview of the second phase (began fall 2008)
of the Murphy Road Corridor Project, which includes three segments of
Murphy Road:
1. Brookswood Drive to Parrell Road (includes a crossing over the Bend
Parkway, which is a project being jointly developed by the City of Bend
and ODOT).
2. Parrell Road to Brosterhous Road (includes improvements to the existing
roadway, storm drainage, sanitary sewer, and water lines).
3. Brosterhous Road to 15th Street (includes a bridge over the railroad
tracks).
The Murphy Road Corridor project is led by the City of Bend Public Works Department. The technical consultant for the project is CH2M HILL. Contact the Project Management Team with any questions that you have or send them your comments electronically. The technical team has coordinated closely with the Bend Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO), the City of Bend Planning Department, and ODOT.
