PROJECT UPDATE

The first phase of the project was completed in June 2008, with the completion of the Refinement Plan.

The second phase of the Murphy Road Corridor Project started in the fall of 2008. Unfortunately, the City of Bend stopped design work in spring of 2009 due to the slowing economy and a significant decline in City revenue.

Coming Soon:
• Sanitary sewer system and water system improvements along Murphy Road. Open Houses for this work will be held on July 7 and 8. Construction is expected within the next year.
• The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) Interchange Area Management Plan (IAMP) is expected to be completed by the end of 2009. The City and ODOT are working together to seek state and federal funding for a large portion of the improvements between Brookswood Drive and Parrell Road (where the two projects will connect).
