Getting Water to Colorado Springs

Colorado Water System (Click on image for larger view)

Colorado Springs is fortunate to have one of the finest sources of drinking water in the nation -- the Rocky Mountains. Seventy percent of our water comes directly from snowmelt near the Continental Divide, making it among the purest drinking water in the country. And we’ve built an extensive water collection and distribution system that includes 25 reservoirs and dams, more than 200 miles of pipes and four major pump stations to bring that water to our city. We take great pride in providing our customers with drinking water that’s among the best in the nation.
