With an important project, such as this, which involves a variety of stakeholders, Holly knows it is essential to have in place a strong, proactive communications effort. That is why Holly is working with a team of communication professionals to ensure critical stakeholder outreach and involvement takes place so that the project goes as smoothly as possible.

Communications activities will include:

• Public open houses
• One-on-one and group meetings
• Informational materials
• Informational mailings
• A project website
• A 24 hour, seven days a week hotline

Public Participation

As the lead agency on the project, the U.S. Bureau of Land Management will conduct extensive environmental studies to comply with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and various other federal, state and local environmental regulations. As part of this process, stakeholders and the public will have the opportunity to comment on the project. For more information about the NEPA process or the public scoping meetings visit www.blm.gov/ut/st.
